“Another immeasurable difference”
DARNELL HINTON, Founder/Co-Owner
Addiction for me is purposeful and deep-rooted. Addiction for me has been by far the toughest thing I have ever had to endure. Addiction for me is the reason why I was placed on this earth. When I was 20 years-old I opened doors for myself that I was unable to close for the next 8 years of my life. In those 8 years not only did I slowly begin to ruin my life, but I had to watch my little brother slowly begin to ruin his as well. For that reason I believe with every fiber in my body that I was called on this mission. To be a voice for all; to humanize and advocate for everyone suffering from this fatal disease and beyond. To challenge the way this disease is approached and eliminate the stigma attached with addiction. You have my word that not only will we rebuild and lay the foundation necessary for a life of sustained sobriety. My team and I here at Rebuild & Reintegrate will create mature, responsible, educated men and women who aren’t afraid to take calculated risks, welcome failure and reach their fullest potential. We will create men and women who advocate for their recovery and addiction as a whole. At Rebuild & Reintegrate we believe why you do something is far more important than what you do. Our why is simple “Everything we do begins with rebuilding and ultimately reintegrating sober individuals back into society fully equipped for life’s demands.” With your commitment we will make this possible!
DAWON MATTHEWS, Founder/Co-Owner
Addiction for me is something that I have unfortunately had far too many encounters with. Although this is not something that I have personally been affected by, witnessing members of my family as well as my best friend and business partner struggle has motivated me to do my part in making a difference. Like many of those in recovery, I too have fallen victim to the criminal justice system. I’ve made mistakes as a young man that I have since matured from. Through those mistakes, I have since matured as a man, developed an entrepreneurial mindset and made something of myself despite my checkered past. It is through this perspective that I will be able to connect with the men living in our homes. I will show them that it is possible to make something of themselves despite their criminal history. I am a living testimony that change of any kind is possible, regardless of your past
OUR VISION
Working Towards A Brighter Future
At Rebuild and Reintegrate we will redefine the definition of recovery. In addition to creating an environment conducive of recovery that is unmatched, we have implemented programs thanks to Teach One Feed One that we believe will change the way sober living homes are operated forever. Not only will we expect our men and woman to advance in their recovery, we will also provide an environment that develops responsible adults in every aspect of their lives. We will instill the basic principles to rebuild men and woman living in our homes that will allow us to successfully reintegrate them back into society to improve their chances of sustained sobriety. We will create a space where everyone living in our homes can live openly and free of judgment. A space that is ubiquitous, not confined to an NA or AA meeting where we can freely express how we feel to loved ones in times of need without fear of disapproval. A space where we are loved and accepted with open arms for who we are as we do with all other diseases. A space where we make “I’m in recovery” synonymous with “I’m a cancer survivor” and the reactions from each receive equal levels of overwhelming exuberance and accomplishment.
It is our responsibility and our obligation to make a difference and leave this place better than we found it. With your commitment, we will redefine the way sober living is operated. Not only will we instill the basic principles of sobriety, we will develop mature and responsible men and woman who are equipped to handle life’s demands outside of a structured environment. We will create advocates who leave our program and make the world aware that addiction is not a choice. Drugs & alcohol are not our problem. Drugs & alcohol have nothing to do with our problem. Our problem is us and the way that we think. Drugs & alcohol were the solution to our problem. We chose to pick up drugs & alcohol. We did not choose for our body to react differently than anyone else’s when we put drugs or alcohol in it. The decision to pick up a drug or alcohol is a choice. Being 1 in every 7 Americans with the disease of addiction is not. With your commitment we will make this a reality, it’s only up from here!
